1.Tjong A Fie Mansion


A historical jewel in Medan with 35 rooms and 2 storeys, Tjong A Fie Mansion was built in 1895. It is well known as a historical landmark in Medan as well as a cultural heritage building and museum.

4. Sibayak Mountain


Sibayak is easily one of the top volcanoes in Indonesia. Situated above the friendly hill town of Berastagi which is just 2 hours from Medan. The volcano’s crater lies just over an hour’s walk from the nearest road and can therefore be explored by anyone in reasonably good shape.



It is one of the most visited mountains in Sumatra. Be prepared for abrupt weather changes and bring supplies including food, drinks, warm clothing, rain gear and a torch, in case you get caught out after dark. 5. Bukit Indah Simarjarunjung

6. Sipiso Piso Waterfall

Sipiso-Piso Waterfall has beautiful scenery and fascinating sightseeing. Among the cliffs that look greenish, the fall water is looking majestic by its grace. To reach the bottom of the waterfall, we do have to spend a little extra energy. For the peak of the waterfall is located at an altitude of about 800 meters above sea level. 7. The Crocodile Park

If you are a big fans of crocodiles, this place is a must. Asam Kumbang Crocodile Park is the largest crocodile breeding park in Indonesia. The park which has an area of two hectares is even becoming the largest crocodile park in Southeast Asia. Built since 1959, Asam Kumbang park has collections of many types of crocodiles, start from the youngest one to over forty years old.



Although it filled with many beasts, this place is very safe because they are placed in ponds and an artificial lake that has been designed safely. An underrated place to visit in Medan!
